Tribute to George O'Malley

You know, whenever anyone says something really funny and I laugh, I always look around to see if you think it's funny too. Even when you are not there, I look around.
(George O'Malley to Izzie Stevens)

"Just forget about you and me for a second. What about Meredith? What about Alex and Christina?
Who's gonna hold us together if you're not here?
You're the glue.
You're George."

(Izzie Stevens to George O'Malley)

* For me, not only I will miss George O'Malley himself,
but also the friendship between him and Izzie Stevens.

I like to compare the holiday season with the way a child listens to a favorite story. The pleasure is in the familiar way the story begins, the anticipation of familiar turns it takes, the familiar moments of suspense, and the familiar climax and ending.

the true dream is being able to dream

At some point, maybe we accept that the dream has become a nightmare.
We tell ourselves the reality is better.
We convince ourselves that it's better to never dream at all.
But the strongest of us, the most determined of us, we hold onto the dream.
Or we find ourselves faced with a fresh dream we never considered.
We awake to find ourselves against all odds, feeling hopeful.
And if we're lucky, we realize in the face of everything, in the face of life,
the true dream, is being able to dream at all

(Meredith Grey - Grey's Anatomy)
